Andre Agassi Open :: An Autobiography

From one of the most beloved and respected athletes , Andre Agassi, who created magic in tennis court every time he stepped his feet there.....I present the review of his beautiful autobiography : OPEN .
A ninth-grade dropout..little Agassi struggled rigorously in the tennis court. Despite his raw talent....he struggled his life for tennis. After loosing 3 grand slams, Agassi shocks the whole world by winning the 1992 Wimbledon and overnight he became a world icon and fan favorite. he dyed his hair, pierced his ears and dressed like a punk rocker which soon captured media's eyes and became a youth icon.
In his autobiography, he gives a pictorial view of his every pivotal match against some real heroes of tennis (like Jimmy Connors, Pete Sampras, Roger Fedrer, etc) and every relationship. He also reveals some shattering loss of confidence and the making great comebacks with his epic run in 1999 French Open and thus marching towards becoming the biggest Tennis Star ever!!
He thanks every person who has supported him all throughout his career and his love Stephanie Graf. Entering his last tournament in 2006 he made some stunning metamorphosis from a dropout to an education advocate. And since his last tournaments played he made a courageous last stand and delivers one of the most stirring farewell ever heard in sporting arena.
This autobiography is an open book of Agassi's life....a must read book for his ever loved fans...

SUPERFREAKONOMICS

Hi readers....

I am back with a new version or better I call it a sequel of the successful bestseller book written by Steven D.Levitt and Stephen J.Dubner..."Freakonomics"....remember...!! Freakonomics was written in such a beautiful way that it hit the reader's heads the right way making it the bestseller...!
Well...like the previous 1...this sequel also quotes some of the real instances going around the world which may make you go mad..!! This is exactly how these 2 crazy people make it.. This novel has some great observations and discussions and some real surprising stories and i bet you readers will enjoy it really well.
Superfreakonomics tells us some great fascinating anecdotes like...Pimps and real estate agents both match buyers and sellers, but pimps add more value. Prostitution has declined over the years not because society has become more moral, but because more women have sex for free. During holidays the demand for sex rises and so does the supply with many part time prostitutes entering the workforce. You may not be able to recognize a terrorist by simply looking at a person, but a fairly reliable terrorist profile exists.
And the best part about this book is that it makes awsome conclusions on the discussions or any observations like the previous one did.. So this is totally gonna be exciting and original in its own way...
In conclusion...i would say that Superfreakonomics is a bunch of fun and entertainment and facts are put in an unusual idea....and most importantly those readers who have enjoyed the previous 1 will definitely taste something good in this sequel.
NOTE : Please dont take some of its specific claims seriously..hehe...!!!

A LETTER TO BAPU FROM GEN X

HI FOLKS...
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti ..on 2nd October, Chetan Bhagat wrote a letter to Mahatma Gandhi telling him that we Indians still remember him and his very existence is always there with us in the form of currency notes, or stamps, or statues,or khadi fabrics. Even the major road has been named after his name..the M.G.ROAD..!
His numerous speeches and thoughts has always inspired us in our day-to-day life...and we still adore him the way he shooed off the white men..!!
Chetan Bhagat has also mentioned about the intense poverty and prejudice prevailing in India...even when the country is free..! After 60 years of our independence...we are still counted as one of the poorest nations of the world. He also quoted on the education of India...which is totally academics based...!
He is positive about the youngistan...who will bring changes in this developing nation..and for this we ned you to come down and help us in this..and at last he hopes that Gandhi is living happily in God's laps...!
Do read this excellent article...you will definitely enjoy it...

2 STATES

Hey....
sory folks...that was pretty long enough...that i didnt post any new release....! But there's a good newz for our Indian readers.....cuz..CHETAN BHAGAT is back with a Bang!!...This time he has not written about books...or jobs...but only LOVE in the air and passion !! So...its gonna be much more lovely and exciting...and of course, helpful for those lovers who are dying to m
arry their mates..

Love marriages around the world are simple:
Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy. They get married.

In India, there are a few more steps:

Boy loves Girl. Girl loves Boy.
Girl's family has to love boy. Boy's family has to love girl.
Girl's Family has to love Boy's Family. Boy's family has to love girl's family.

Girl and Boy still love each other. They get married.
Ok now.........this book is all about a normal guy, Krish and a cute gal, Ananya who are from 2 different states, are deeply in love with each other and also wants to get married ! But the typical Indian problem arises here....of course...the parents are against of an 'inter-community' marriage...~~! So..to convert their love story to a love marriage, this couple finds ways to express their love in front of their parents bcoz..its easy to rebel than to convince...and fights a tough 'battle' just to stay with each other..
Like his previous releases....this refers to a typical Indian mentality of the differences between the
youth and their parents. This is something different from the rest of his books...and c'mon friends...who doesn't like to read a 'love story' yaar..!!

SIX SUSPECTS

This new release novel is beautifully written by Vikas Swarup....!! Well those who don't know him....Vikas Swarup became an international name when his novel, Q&A, was turned into the movie Slumdog Millionaire, which went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2009 and for which A.R.Rehman sir got the music director award too. !!
So....if we see the jist of the novel...it is actually a murder mystery which happens in India. The story begins at a party when Vicky Rai is murdered at the party he threw to celebrate his acquittal for a murder he actually committed, the police find six suspects with guns at the celebration....So. the police tries hard to find out that which of these six suspects has actually commited the murder ?? Vikas has very clearly shown , through this book, the reality of murders done in India.. and the glamorous as well as the darker side of India. It is surely a 'gift' for those readers who have really enjoyed his last book "Q&A" . Do read it if you are searching for some murder mysteries and suspense from an Indian writer.

THE LOST SYMBOL

Hey friends....
Welcome again the history+mystery writer, Dan Brown's latest release....THE LOST SYMBOL...which deals with same codes and symbols and THE HOLY GRAIL....but in a more exciting manner !! So people...fasten your seat belts because there is a new code to be cracked here....haha..!! And so it is.....it has been also rated as the fastest selling novel ever in its 1st week of release itself...
The story takes place in Washington D.C. where Robert Langdon is giving a lecture in US Capitol invited by Peter Solomon who is the head of Smithsonian institution and a mentor of Robert too and Mason of Scottish Rite.
When Langdon arrives at the Capitol, however, instead of an audience for his lecture, and after receiving a phone call from the person that he thought was from Solomon's office he hears screams coming from the Capitol Rotunda. Running, he finds the severed right hand of Peter Solomon directly in the middle of the room. The hand contains tattoes on each finger, and Langdon recognizes it as the symbolic 'Hand of the Mysteries', which points directly to the Capitol dome..!!!
Langdon realizes that it is the hand of his kidnapped friend, and from messages already received he knows that the kidnapper wants him to find both the Mason's Pyramid, which Mason's believe is hidden somewhere underground in Washington D.C. and the Mason's "word" which will complete the task that the kidnapper has given. So, Langdon along with Solomon finds clues which leads them to a 'word' which is written in major religious books is symbolic and is helpful in decoding Langdom's puzzle.
It has a lot more excitement ...and is at-par with the other releases of Brown. Congratulations Brown...!!

review on chetan bhagat's novels...

Chetan Bhagat is the upcoming Indian writer who have wooed all the youngsters to have a king-sized life in the best colleges and universities of the world...!!!! He has ,no-doubtedly, stuck his feets in the list of the good writers in the world..! His novels are bit realistic...and revolving around day-to-day problems happening to especially the young aspirants.

1. FIVE POINTS SOMEONE

This book revolves around three iitans who, being the 'bright' guys scores a five pointers GPA and finds that they are not 'bright' in this campus..!
But the narrator Hari, his friends Ryan and Alok try their luck to improve their grade in different ways only to end up every time in a mess. Of the three, the story is narrated in first person by Hari, who is not that attractive, but smart enough guy to befriend the Head of the Department’s daughter, Neha. Ryan Oberoi the handsome dude, though full of creativity, wealth, style and ideas seldom has any romantic liason. Alok is a fatso and glutton and positively irritating. !! Neha is a current era girl , liberated....and does not mind spending 'quality' time with her boyfriend.
So, Chetan Bhagat deals with these three notorious guys...who enjoys the life at Delhi IIT campus and faces various challenges there..! It is a really interesting novel and angles to most graduating hostelers. The best part of
this novel is its climax and the way he has given a complete picture of the characters is applausable. Its language is really easy and best for the beginners !! Do read this novel for fun and passing good time.

2. ONE NIGHT @ CALL CENTRE

Well....i wount call it a 'great novel' but it is a good story based on the lives of employees at the IT sector.
The story starts with the author meeting a lady during his travel and the lady narrates the story to the author…the promise that the author make to the lady is that to publish this as his story. The story revolves around six people ( viz Esha, Vroom, Shyam, Priyanka, Radhika and Militry uncle )who are working in call centre business in their division handling Western Appliances Strategic Group (WASG) in Gurgoan, New Delhi. Each character has their own dream to pursue but has compromised their wishes to work & earn at the call centre. The story is narrated by Shyam who had an early affairs with his ex-girlfriend, Priyanka.
The book shows on how a call centre operates and clients are attended from other parts of the world. In between these employees have their own problems and try to slove their own ways. The climax comes when these 6 people are in the verge of dying and then they get a call from GOD..!! and this was the most unexpected part on the whole book...! The whole book is a time pass and so..not a 'great novel' but a 'good story'.

review of dan brown's book

Dan Brown is no stranger to the best seller list, because all of his novels have made it to the list.
Brown is a big history buff, and so this is why the inspiration for all of his novels are related to unknown things in history.
His books often take a long time to write, as much of it is research and he trying to get his facts straight. The books also often include codes, and picture puzzles that he has some friends help create.
  1. THE DA VINCI CODE

As the book starts out Robert Langdon is just presenting his symbology class, when he gets a phone call. He is told about a murder that has taken place. The man was Jacques Sanuiere, and he was the curator of the Louvre museum in France. Originally they were sending him there to be framed for the murder, but Sophie the man’s granddaughter tells him of the plan. Langdon had planned to go there to meet the man, and discuss the symbology hidden in some of the artwork. A cryptic code awaits him on the floor, and it is his job to decrypt it with the help of Sophie who is also a cryptologist. They escape from the Louvre just as the police are about to get them, and they follow the clues. The chase leads them across Paris and to many different monuments, and tributes to science.Langdon threatens to break the cryptex forever washing away the secret of the Holy Grail, and he does it. The teacher didn’t know that he had already solved it, and the police come and arrest him. All of the clues contained in the cryptex send them to the obvious location. There they meet the then alone Sophie’s grandmother. Langdon then realizes he had the wrong location, and finally figures out it is at the Louvre, but decides the secret should still be kept.
Its total package of entertainment...and of course lots of mystery and stuffs that every reader will definitely enjoy.!! The work is totally fiction but it seems so very f=real that you will start believing it fully...! Moreover the language is very easy for the beginners and easily readable...Dan Brown has made every effort to make the readers comfortable and bounded to the novel...Even the researchers are forced to find any actual evidences to the novel and codes...Do read it for full entertainment and more facts...

2. ANGELS AND DEMONS

When a murder of a physicist, Leonardo Vetra, finds a symbolist, Robert Langdon, and Mr. Vetra's daughter, Vittoria, on an adventure for a secret group, The Illuminati. Clues lead them all around the Vatican, including the Earth, Air, Fire and Water. An Assassin, working for the Illuminati, has captured four cardinals, and murders each, painfully. Robert and Vittoria also are searching for a new very destructive neuclear weapon that could kill millions which was stolen from Vetra's laboratory..
The question arising in minds of people for this must be that "How does the davinci code compares with this on???"...well the answer to this is that if you enjoyed reading the davinci code....., you should probable love reading even this too..because it also revolves around some codes and facts....!! The readers will probably love it also because it is more of plot-driven which has been 1 of the most concerned thing for Dan Brown. It is full of mystery and thrillers and strange informations which will surely drive you CRAZY...!!!
